Another Special Evening at the 2009 Culture and Caring Event

On behalf of everyone at Family Reach Foundation, I want to thank all of the attendees and supporters of the Culture and Caring Event for your compassion and generosity. This was the first year Family Reach held the event at the Liberty, and the space and hospitality were nothing short of fantastic. Over 200 people enjoyed the evening, bid on great works of art and prizes, and raised money for families who have a child being treated at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber. In particular, through a special raffle, the attendees of Culture and Caring raised funds to help Tyla Lalicata and her mom Natalia. Together, they have been fighting through the severe challenges of cancer and are forever grateful for the assistance that Family Reach has provided. Tyla's two pieces of art were included in the raffle, and her works were won by a very thankful attendee.

During the event, Family Reach also received a check for $100,000 from Golf Fights Cancer, a nonprofit organization that supports charities dedicated to the battle against cancer. Family Reach was the beneficiary of the organization's 2009 Good Guy Invitational golf event held a Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA. The proceeds will allow Family Reach to provide help and hope to another 100 families that have hit financial breaking points as they struggle to defeat cancer.

I want to also thank the many sponsors who truly make Culture and Caring possible. For 2009, Genzyme, Krav Maga Boston and Olivia's Organics were the lead sponsors, contributing funds and support for the Family Reach mission. Of special note, Sonia Sharma served as our generous wine host, donating three labels - Buena Vista, Geyser Peak and Columbia Wineries - for the event. Feel free to check out the other sponsors that participated at our Sponsorship link.

Finally, I would like to thank all donors and especially our Ambassadors that have made extra efforts to be a part of our mission and allowed us to grow from "one to many." We are humbled by the incredible passion and commitment of these individuals and rely on their dedication to extend our reach.

Thank you again for making the 2009 Culture and Caring Event an amazing evening. We will soon post photos and provide additional highlights of the night. And of course, we look forward to seeing you next year on November 4th to celebrate our mission with us again.

Sincerely,

Rick Morello
