On Jacob's 3rd birthday he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Jacob has spent 2 and a half years in treatment. He has had tumors removed from his belly and has had a bone marrow transplant. After transplant he immediately went into isolation. Neuroblastoma is very difficult to cure so Jacob has been treated at the Jimmy fund for chemotherapy and at Sloan-Kettering in NY for antibody therapy. Recently, Sloan-Kettering has decided to no longer treat Jacob. His little body cannot handle the treatment anymore. His treatment right now is undecided. He is currently being closely monitored thru labs and scans.
Jacob's single mother has been on unpaid leave from her job to be with Jacob leaving the family in financial distress. Family Reach helped the family keep their lights on by paying a past due utility bill.
