Inspiring Performances from Dedicated Individuals

Family Reach wants to thank all of the dedicated cyclists and their supporters for participating in our Reach Rider Holiday Spin events at the Boston Sports Club in Lexington and Lynnfield on December 5th and 13th. Founded by USA Cycling Elite Level Coach Kenji Freedman, the Reach Rider program has become one of Family Reach's most successful new initiatives. Instructor Judy Insalaco joined Kenji, along with nearly 80 spin enthusiasts, to raise over $22,000 for families in New England who are struggling to stay afloat as a child or parent battles cancer.

The two events at BSC featured three-hour spin endurance challenges, with each participant raising funds for the Family Reach mission. Nestor Grullon and his daughter Darlene were highlighted at the Lexington event, and Raquel Rohlfing and her son Mikalo were featured at the Lynnfield event. Darlene and Mikalo, ages 23 and 4, are both fighting cancer, and their loving parents are doing everything they can to keep their families steady and strong. With the dedication and generosity of the Holiday Spin participants, Family Reach has been able to provide much needed financial relief and support to each family.

Reach Riders are individuals who participate in the Holiday Spin and other challenging cycling events and incorporate a fundraising component to help us raise even more money for families that are fighting cancer.
