The Martinez Family of River Vale
"Run Fast, Live Slow" is the motto that Christine & Hector Martinez live by to help them appreciate their health and their time together as a family. They are avid runners which is where the "Run Fast" part of their motto comes in. The "Live Slow" part is a reminder to take it easy and enjoy the important things in life, like their 9 year old daughter Lauren and 7 year old son Andrew.
In 2007, the Martinez family sold "Run Fast, Live Slow" T-shirts at the Family Reach 5k and donated all proceeds to Family Reach. In 2008, Hector was the top Reach Runner fundraising over $3,055.
In 2009, Hector & Christine took their dedication to Family Reach to a new height and launched the "Run Fast, Live Slow" team (www.runfastliveslow.com) where members lace up their sneakers to run races from 5k's to marathons with one goal in mind -- to harness the power of the running community while giving back to those in need! Member benefits include free sneakers and a discount on running gear with the profits from the membership fees being donated to Family Reach Foundation.

Ryan Capuzzi, Age 7, Belle Mead, NJ
You are never too old, or too young, to make a difference! Ryan, then age 6, became a reach runner for the Family Reach 5k and raised over $600. He was excited to assist with the letter to friends and family, and thrilled when letters/emails of support and donations came in. He understands that his efforts are helping others who unfortunately are battling a serious illness. Reach runners like Ryan are part of our 'family' at Family Reach, making a difference for those in need.
No matter what your age or endurance level, help us reach more families and register as a Reach Runner!
