San Diego to Taste the Mission of Family Reach for a 3rd Year

San Diege Gaslamp

Family Reach is honored to return to San Diego as the highlighted charity for the 2010 Flavors of the Gaslamp fundraising event hosted by Pro Player Foundation and current and former NFL stars. Funds raised for Family Reach will support its work with Rady Children's Hospital and the many families who are coping with the overwhelming challenges of cancer.

As a whole, Flavors of the Gaslamp has raised over $80,000 since its inception in 2008 to help families fighting cancer. Many diverse and award winning restaurants from San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter continue to come out in force to wine and dine over 500 guests in attendance at the event each year.

This year's event will be hosted by current and former NFL stars that have been touched by cancer: Eric Allen (six-time Pro Bowler and ESPN Analyst), Lorenzo Neal (four-time Pro Bowler and lead blocker for 1000 yard rushers for eleven straight seasons), Earl Campbell (Hall of Famer and Heisman winner) and Legedu Naanee (uniquely versatile Chargers wide receiver).

Family Reach Foundation is proud to continue its partnership with Rady Children's Hospital San Diego as part of the overall event and commitment to the San Diego community. Each year staff from Rady Children's pediatric oncology department attend the event to express their deep gratitude for being included in the Family Reach network of hospitals.
