“Amy”, Age 7, Florida
January 2013—Seven year old “Amy” was diagnosed with Astrocytoma in the Summer of 2012. Her mom’s first car was often in need of repairs and having reliable transportation to travel to and from treatment appointments was critical for patient’s health and well-being. Due to missed time at work associated with her daughter’s care and treatment needs, Amy’s mom struggled to make ends meet and could only afford a small down payment on another, more reliable car. The resulting high monthly loan payments became a source of financial stress for the family and assistance from Family Reach was requested.
Family Reach provided a $1,071.86 grant to cover two months of auto loan payments.
