“Felipe,” Age 1, New York

January 2012 -Before his first birthday, one year old “Felipe” was diagnosed with Juvenile Myclomonocytic Leukemia (JMML), a rare form of childhood leukemia. Felipe’s mom was not employed prior to Felipe’s diagnosis and cares for Felipe. His dad earns only a modest income and has also seen his wages reduced due to missed time at work associated with his son’s treatment needs. The family is struggling to pay significant transportation costs associated with treatment. Financial assistance was requested to help pay for the taxi services the family relies on to transport their child to treatment.

Family Reach provided a $700 grant to assist with transportation costs associated with treatment.
